Aiyana is a small standard...
|
Head: |
She has a beautiful Nordic
headpiece, intelligent and mischievous
eyes. Dark (nearly black) eyes
which are correct in shape for the
breed. She has extremely dark
eye rim pigment and dark nose pigment
and a very pleasing and ever-present
"eskie smile."
She still has a little more maturing
to do, her muzzle will broaden a
little more... an eskie doesn't fully
mature until they are at least 3 years
old.
|
|
Tail: |
A long a lovely tail and
proper tailset, that when she is
gaiting in the ring she carries it
proudly over her back... When she runs
at full-tilt... it's like a comet's
tail, and she's quick!
|
|
Movement:
|
She has lovely movement... many
judges have commented on her
clean coming and going.
Her front is to die for, she
converges on center...
when self-stacked she is right
on top of herself... and she
does single track.
|
|
Coat: |
She has a gorgeous
coat... When she first arrived... it
would take HOURS to groom her...
bathing wasn't the issue... it was
that she had so much coat that it
seemed to take forever to get it
dry and brushed out. It
was thick and dense and there
was LOTS of it.
At one of her first AKC shows
someone asked if she were
trimmed... I didn't quite
understand this as American
Eskimos are NOT to be trimmed...
only the feet and hocks.
Apparently, they had never seen
a proper eskie puppy bitch coat.
Aiyana now has her adult coat...
it no longer takes HOURS to
groom her. |
