this makes a small batch...

Click HERE to get a PDF document of this recipe that has been converted to ounces.
This also includes the "Michigan State University Veterinarian Puppy Replacement Formula,"
which I have modified.

I use both recipe and use a digital kitchen scale I purchased at Wal-Mart when I make the Satin Balls.

I make mine in 1/4 lb patties...

SATIN BALLS

1# pkg ground beef My version
1 lb cheap hamburger (for high fat %)
1 and 1/3 cups Total cereal
1 and 1/2 cups uncooked oatmeal
1 raw egg
6 Tablespoons wheat germ
1 package Knox unflavored gelatin
2 Tablespoons vegetable oil
2 Tablespoons unsulphured molasses
Pinch of salt
1 lb cheap hamburger
2.25 oz of Total
3.5 oz oatmeal
1 raw egg
1.5 oz wheat germ
1 pkg Knox unflavored gelatin
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 Tablespoons unsulphured molasses
Pinch of salt

* I don't add the salt

Mix everything together into a huge, nauseous mess.  Refrigerate or Freeze what you can't use immediately
